The Mid Michigan Bucks moved to 6-1-1 and solidified their hold on first place in the Premier Development League's Great Lakes Division with a 3-2 win over the West Michigan Edge at Hurley Field in Berkley on Wednesday night. The Bucks Mychal Turpin opened the night's scoring with an early goal in the 5th minute with the assist going to Paul Snape, but the Edge's St. Nicholas Benjamin tied the score at one with a penalty kick goal just five minutes later. The Bucks regained the lead in the 27th minute as Erik Nelson set up Kevin Taylor for the marker and a 2-1 lead. The Bucks went out to a two-goal lead at in the 60th minute as Tino Sicluna dropped a brilliant cross into the box that Paul Snape headed into the back of the goal to make it a 3-1 game. Johnny Leonard notched a late goal for the Edge in the 75th minute to cut the Bucks lead to 3-2, but it was not enough as the Edge dropped to 3-3-2 on the year.

US OPEN CUP MATCH IN DETROIT
The Bucks will be hosting a Round Two match against the D-3 Pro League Champion Long Island Rough Riders in the US Open Cup, the country's premier soccer tournament which gives lower level teams like the Bucks a shot at the top pro division squads, on Wednesday, June 25th at Hurley Field in Berkley. Tickets will be $9 for adults and just $5 for kids (under 19) in uniform at the gate on game-day. Fans may also reserve tickets at these prices in advance by emailing the Bucks at

BUCKS TO HOST GAME AT PLYMOUTH-CANTON NEXT SATURDAY
The Bucks' next game will be at Plymouth-Canton High School against the Toledo Slayers on Saturday, June 14th at 7:30pm, with tickets costing just $9 at the gate.
